Testing the Design in 3D (Maya)

I've finally had some time to get down to modeling. Testing the proportion and such in a 3D space can make-or-break a paper design. So far I've noticed that the central part of the sword is a big chubby, and the handle is going to need some tweaking. I'm also debating on changing the elemental changer crystal to the one in the hilt. This would: be easier to explain how the element/damage type changes, be easier to animate (for it resolves the issue of the hilt crystal entirely (detailed in previous post), and be easier on the eyes in general.
